Study Abroad Scholarship For Indian Students

Study abroad scholarships has been of great help for international students to fulfil their dreams of studying abroad for decades. 1. The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. 

This scholarship is for students who wish to pursue master’s or doctoral studies in European universities and countries. Approximately 2,500 scholarships are available in this program. 

Eligibility: 

  • You must score more than 6.5 bands in IELTS. No GMAT score required. 
  • At least two LORs (Letter of Recommendation). 
  • Statement of Purpose (Why do you want to study abroad, career goals, etc.) 
  • Proof of Residence. 

Benefits:  

  • A stipend of 1100-1500 Euros monthly depending on requirements. 
  • Tuition fee waiver (only in certain conditions). 
  • Travelling allowance. 
  • Airfare for international travel. 
  • Travel allowance for when the students travel to another country during the course of their program. 
  • A work visa would be granted to you once you finish your Masters’ or doctoral programme. 

Closing Date: December 31, 2022. 

2. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship. 

This merit-based fellowship gives Indian students the opportunity to study at St. Antony College, Oxford College London for one academic year. 

Total Amount: 

  • 29,944 Pounds. 

Subjects Accepted: 

  • History
  • Economics 

3. Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowship. 

The Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowship is a merit-based scholarship offered by the Indian Government to students who aspire to study abroad and pursue a Master’s degree at United States’ best universities. 

Expenses covered: 

  • Tuition, 
  • living expenses 
  • air travel expenses 
  • health coverage. 

Necessary Subjects: 

  • All (Postgraduate Level). 

4. Dr. Ambedkar Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational Loan for Overseas Studies. 

This scheme provides interest subsidies to students who have performed exceptionally well in academics. It is only available to students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Backward Classes (ECW). 

This scheme’s main aim is to help students in fulfilling their dream of studying abroad. 

Scholarship Type: 

  • Need-Based 
  • Merit-Based. 

Benefits: 

  • They provide subsidies on the interest payable by students during the time they are studying. 

Subjects Needed: 

  • All subjects; Only Master’s degrees (Postgraduate programs). 

5. Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation Scholarship 

This scholarship was first started in 1976 and has been giving merit scholarships to talented students. It is available for students who want to study in United Kingdom, United States and Europe. 

Scholarship Type: 

  • Merit-Based. 

Eligible Programmes: 

  • MPhil 
  • Master’s 
  • PhD programs. 

Subjects Necessary: 

  • Liberal Arts 
  • Humanities 

Benefits: 

  • Provides students with maximum support of INR 72,000 which could be used to cover a part of travel expenses, tuition fees or accommodation.
