Building partnerships has been the cornerstone of the University of South Carolina Aiken since its inception in 1961.
It was then that the citizens of the Aiken community voiced the need for a local institution of higher education. In a true demonstration of grassroots politics, the community rallied to show their support for a college to be founded in the area.
Through state legislation, a governing board was formed, the Aiken County Commission for Higher Education, which continues to oversee the University’s mission.

Campus

The campus is located on 453 acres (183 ha) in Aiken, 18 miles (29 km) from Augusta, Georgia, and 60 miles from Columbia, South Carolina.

Pacer Crossing Residence Hall - Each suite contains four furnished bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a furnished living room.
Pacer Commons offers apartment style housing with double rooms and single rooms.
Pacer Down offers apartment housing as double rooms and double as single rooms for upperclassmen and graduate students.

Indian Student Association:

The University of South Carolina has its own Indian student association. They provide a support system for current and new Indian students at the University. While travelling to a new country can be daunting to say the least, they provide assistance in becoming part of the larger community. About Master of Science in Computational Science

The Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computational Science (CSCI) at the University of South Carolina Beaufort provides students with a deep understanding of advanced computational methods and their application in solving real-world problems across various fields, including physical, biological, and engineering sciences. Students will learn to use mathematical modeling, simulation, and data analysis to tackle complex problems. The program combines coursework in mathematics, computer science, and science with hands-on experience in high performance computing, scientific visualization, and machine learning.

Program Structure

  • The MS in Computational Science course is a 2 year Full Time Masters Program.
  • After successful completion of Bsc I.T program at VSIT students can opt to transfer directly
    to University of South Carolina Beaufort.

Scholarships

The University of South Carolina Beaufort offers scholarships based on merit, program of study,
state of residency and financial need. The majority of scholarships are renewable for up to four years
(a minimum G.P.A. is required for renewal). In Additional Vidyalankar students are granted
scholarship of approx $12,000 per year.
