The University of Toledo Foundation will be guided by its commitment to
Integrity, respect and transparency.
Earn the respect, trust and confidence of donors and the general public.
Have a long-term perspective and focus on growing a sustainable organisation.
Our mission is to improve the human condition.
A demonstrated desire to achieve excellence through innovation.
Campus
The main university campus has nine residential halls, a Student Recreation Centre, a gothic bell tower, an avant-garde classroom centre in one of the buildings, the Memorial Field House, a football stadium, and a basketball and athletic complex.
Sporting the colours midnight blue and gold, university sports teams are known as The Rockets, a shortened version of ‘Skyrockets’, a name dating back to the 1920s.
Toledo itself is an industrial and entrepreneurial city, known for its car assembly plants and glass manufacturing (hence its nickname ‘The Glass City’).
The campuses at UT offer 200 student organisations, as well as art exhibitions, athletic games, theatre performances and talks by public figures such as the radio host Robert F Kennedy Jr. and the author Toni Morrison.
A demonstrated desire to achieve excellence through innovation.
City Conditions
In Toledo, the summers are warm; the winters are freezing, snowy, and windy; and it is partly cloudy year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 19°F to 83°F and is rarely below 3°F or above 91°F. Based on the tourism score, the best time of year to visit Toledo for warm-weather activities is from mid June to mid September.
Housing
Apartment Guide has created a specialty apartment search for University students, faculty, and employees, to help them find the best off-campus living options. With a large inventory of multifamily apartments, students won’t have to waste their valuable time looking all over.
All first-year and second-year students who live outside of a 25 miles radius off the university are required to live on campus and participate in the meal plan program. Living on campus allows students to focus on what matters most. Statistics show students who live on campus have higher grade point averages, are more involved, and have higher rates of retention.
Conveniently located close to dining and classes, on-campus housing is a hassle-free, safe home to live with friends and enjoy the University lifestyle in the students' backyard. As students are required to live on campus next academic year, we recommend students apply now so current residents can get the best choice of rooms on campus.
International Students Association
The Indian Students Cultural Organisation (ISCO) is a non-profit organisation for all the students from India, of Indian descent, or interested in Indian culture. It has been given the Best Student Organisation Award consecutively from 2001 to 2004 and 3rd Best Student Organisation Award for the year 2014-2015. Our primary objectives are to promote service and leadership opportunities, as well as creating an environment where students of different backgrounds can bond over our beloved culture. For our many international students, we know how tough it is to travel to a totally new country, thousands of miles away from home and to settle down in an American culture, as well as feeling homesick from all your friends and family back home. For our Indian-American students, we understand how important it is to find people like you, who understand the balance of being both American and Indian and making sure you still stay connected to your heritage. Our endeavour is to complement student academic programs and enhance the overall educational experience of students through their participation in social, cultural, intellectual, and recreational activities. Our organisation tries to spread the word of “togetherness” by bringing one community together in order to share Indian culture, regardless of gender, race, orientation, etc.

Hello…!!! I am Professor Nisha Dang, an MBA graduate with a strong background in Human Resource Management. Currently, Deputy Coordinator of the BMS Department. A Human resource specialist with over 8 years of experience in industry & academic. I have 3 years of corporate experience and have managed all the aspects of the HR functions from recruiting to training to benefits.
So how did I develop the interest in the teaching field? After pursuing MBA from a recognized Business School, I started my professional career in one of the top company Accenture as an HR Assistant. The role was to recruit fresh management learners from different spheres and give them induction and orient them with the policies and the procedures. However, after my marriage, I switched my career from the service sector to the noble service area that is teaching. The urge to give what I have learnt from the corporates to the academics developed after witnessing the gap between industry and academics. The journey towards the teaching profession was not so easy as I had to clear the mainstream examination such as B.Ed and then NET. During this journey, I was associated with SIES College as a visiting faculty member. Later, I got an opportunity to work in an esteemed college i.e. Vidyalankar School of Information Technology (July 2016 onwards). It was the best fit for me because Vidyalankar is a place where academics is conducted in a corporate manner. It’s a student-centric college where student delight is a pursuit that is both achieved and aimed at. As rightly said “Great things happen to those who don't stop believing, trying, learning, and being grateful.” Hence, I enrolled for Ph.D. with Mumbai University, attended many Faculty Development Programmes on MOOC and Online Teaching. I have written many research papers since it helps me to be updated, expand my skills & knowledge. I have also completed my one-month Internship with Wellness forever, I have developed and designed online training content for them.
To talk about my Co-curricular & extra-curricular activities I mentor and guide students for the various competition to name a few of them its Avishkar competition, National level Case study Competition, Tantra Vihar, V search (research paper presentation), etc.
