About Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
The Information Technology degree program helps organisations achieve strategic goals by bridging technology solutions with user requirements. This includes skill sets in project management, programming, entrepreneurial thinking, social understanding and application development
Within the IT major, students choose one of three unique options and take an additional 9-12 credits of prescribed coursework for that option, which offers a specific skill and knowledge area in the information technology field.

Program Structure
- The B.S. (IT) course is a 4 year Bachelors Program.
- During the First two years students will be a part of Mumbai University Bsc(IT) Program
- Students will be taught all ( Sem 1 to Sem 4) courses of Penn State
- Students who have successfully completed the first 2 years of the Mumbai University B.Sc. (IT) program at VSIT can opt to transfer to one of the PENN STATE commonwealth campuses. Such students are accepted by PENN STATE directly into the 3rd year of Bachelors of Science in IT.
- These students will then have an option to major in Information Technology (Business and Application) or (Application Development). On successful completion of the program the student are awarded the Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology (Business and Application) or Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (Application) by PENNSTATE University.
