About Bachelor of Science in Communication
At SIUE, the Mass communications program aims at preparing students to make a successful career in one of the fastest-growing and dynamic fields: Mass media. The Department of Mass Communications at SIUE is accredited by the highly-selective Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC). This means, that due to small class sizes our students get one-on-one attention from their instructors and their curriculum keeps up with changes in the media industry. SIUE students have access to state-of-the-art facilities and faculty members who dedicate themselves to serving the professional and intellectual needs of the students. The Department of Mass Communications offers four sequences: Print/Electronic journalism, TV-radio production, Advertising, and Corporate communications.

Program Structure
- The BS Mass Communication course is a 4-year Bachelors Program. Students who have successfully completed the first 2 years of the Mumbai University BMM program at VSIT can opt to transfer to the University of SIUE Edwardsville. Such students are accepted by Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, directly into the 3rd year of the BS Mass Communication program. These students will then have an option to major in Corporate and Institutional Media Media Advertising Print/ Electronic Journalism Television/ Radio
